Oncology Annexure for NABH Digital Health Standards Launched

September 2025

KCDO is pleased to announce the launch of the Oncology Annexure for NABH Digital Health Standards for HIS/EMR Vendors, formally released by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) on 17th September 2025.

This annexure, developed in alignment with the National Cancer Grid (NCG) Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Requirements, serves as a comprehensive framework for EMR and HIS vendors to design and enhance oncology-specific digital health functionalities.

The document defines critical standards that enable greater uniformity, interoperability, and quality in cancer care delivery across digital platforms.

Key Highlights of the Annexure

  • Oncology-specific standards across Medical, Radiation, and Surgical Oncology
  • Structured Multidisciplinary Tumor Board workflows to promote coordinated cancer care
  • Strengthening of digital health systems to improve patient safety, clinical quality, and data interoperability

This milestone marks a significant step forward in the ongoing collaboration between NCG, KCDO, and NABH, aimed at advancing the maturity of oncology-focused digital health solutions in India.

By setting clear expectations for oncology modules within HIS and EMR systems, the NABH Digital Health Standards with the Oncology Annexure are expected to accelerate the adoption of structured, interoperable, and patient-centric digital solutions across cancer hospitals nationwide.
