The National Cancer Grid (NCG) Electronic Medical Records (EMR) initiative has been widely appreciated by NCG hospitals and the broader community of healthcare professionals and stakeholders. As part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen this initiative, NCG–KCDO has constituted specialized subcommittees to drive focused improvements in different clinical domains.
The Radiology subcommittee, comprising expert radiologists from several NCG member hospitals across the country, has collaboratively developed Radiology Synoptic Reporting Templates specifically designed for oncology. These templates are aimed at standardizing and streamlining radiology reporting, improving communication between clinicians, and enabling data-driven decision-making in cancer care.
Developed through extensive consultation with radiologists and informed by global best practices, the templates ensure alignment with international standards and national oncology workflows. The Radiology Synoptic Reporting Templates (Version 2.0) incorporate industry and expert feedback and were finalized for release on 20th September 2025.
